Monthly Impact
ProgramA donation
of $84 allows Opportunity International to issue another loan somewhere in the
world. Therefore, a monthly gift of $84 creates 12 loans each year (one loan a
month), while $42 per month creates six loans a year. On average, each loan
supports five family members, so a monthly gift of $84 helps about 60 people
begin to move out of poverty in the first year alone. While big gifts are
needed, every one-time and monthly gift, big or small, is of benefit to the
poor.

Make Poverty History
In 2005, a campaign sprang up around the world
to "Make Poverty History". Opportunity International is proud to be a part of initiatives which
strive to make poverty history. Microfinance programs like Opportunity International's have the proven ability to eliminate poverty permanently.
Giving the poor small loans, training and support allows them to grow a micro business and experience the satisfaction of working their own way out
of poverty. By your contribution to this fund, you are helping us to help the poor make poverty a thing of the past. You can give a job to the poor
yourself, or on behalf of your friends and family.
